Brunch at Gunther & Co.

In my last blog post I mentioned that I wanted to start exploring Baltimore food scene more and I’ve stayed true to my words and have visited a couple of spots during the past couple of weeks. One spot that I was very excited to finally check out was Gunther & Co. and it was just as beautiful in person as it’s on online. The ambiance is industrial based with greenery incorporated in the design and the ceilings are very high , which creates an openness that DC restaurants typically lack . They also have an outdoor patio , which is absolutely gorgeous .

Location and Parking : The exact address is 3650 Toone StreetBrewers Hill, Baltimore and there is an abundance of street parking available

Food : I went for brunch and personally thought everything was reasonably priced. I had the House Made Brioche French Toast served with citrus curd, blueberry – poppy seed maple syrup and cinnamon granola. The blueberry syrup was too overpowering and took away from the taste of the French toast . I also don’t like fruit based French Toasts , so it was kind of a given that I wouldn’t be a fan .

If I should visit Gunther & Co. again I would definitely try the HUEVOS Huevos Rancheros Farm Egg Skillet, which looks and sounds amazing. My friend got the shrimps and grits , which was really good and she demolished.

Overall I would recommend checking out Gunther & Co. The food is reasonably priced and the ambiance is spot on.
