If you’re an avid reader of my blog you know that I’ve been to a number of Art Soiree events , so when I heard that the creative minds behind Art Soiree found a permanent home in DC I was elevated.  The location used to be an old theater and was abandoned for 25 years...

I finally got the opportunity to have dinner at Rasika after mentioning it repeatedly. As you may or may not know I am on the hunt to try different cuisines and Rasika was right on the top of my list. Although I went during restaurant week they only participated in the...

Finding new brunch spots are always fun, but I am guilty of eating relatively the same type of food regardless of the restaurant.  Being aware of this I’m trying to challenge myself by exploring different cuisines, so when my friend invited me to brunch at Agora I...

It’s October, so naturally I had to visit a haunted house. I went with a group of friends to Laurel's House of Horror & Escape Room and had a pretty good time.

About DC Trinity

Hey my name is Petal McDonald and i know being in your 20’s or 30's can be hard especially if you want to enjoy the city as much as possible with limited funds. Personally I enjoy finding new restaurants to try, free events to attend (or inexpensive events), enjoying the night life and finding the right workout classes (which is still a struggle for me). My aim in starting this blog is to provide my potential reader with a starting point for how to navigate the city, while staying within their budget and having a good time. I use the word city loosely because even though majority of my pieces on this blog will center on activities in DC , not all of them are found within the city, which is definitely not a bad thing.
